What is Teamac Protector II Antifouling?

Teamac Protector II Antifouling is a high-quality antifouling paint designed to protect the hulls of boats and yachts from marine organisms such as algae, barnacles, and slime. It helps reduce drag and maintain the vessel's performance in both saltwater and freshwater environments.

What types of vessels is Teamac Protector II Antifouling suitable for?

This antifouling paint is suitable for a variety of vessels, including yachts, motorboats, and sailing boats with hulls made from steel, wood, or GRP (Glass-Reinforced Plastic). However, it is not suitable for aluminium hulls due to the copper content in the paint.

What is the coverage of Teamac Protector II Antifouling?

One litre of Teamac Protector II Antifouling covers approximately 10 square meters, depending on the surface condition and application method.

How long does it take to dry?

The paint dries to the touch in about 3 hours. However, it’s recommended to wait at least 16 hours before recoating and 8 hours before launching the vessel.

30 knots. Expected functional life of the coating
is 12 to 18 months

Can I apply Teamac Protector II Antifouling over existing antifouling coatings?

Yes, it can be applied over existing antifouling, provided the previous coating is in good condition. If the old antifouling is incompatible or damaged, it’s important to wet abrade and prime the surface before applying Teamac Protector II.
