Falmouth Classics 2024: A Spectacular Celebration of Maritime Heritage
Nestled on the picturesque Cornish coast, Falmouth is renowned for its rich maritime history and vibrant nautical culture. Since 1987, this charming town has hosted one of the largest classic sailing events in the UK, the Falmouth Classics. This prestigious three-day regatta features thrilling races, parades, and onshore events, providing an unforgettable weekend of sailing, heritage, and community spirit.
Falmouth Classics 2024, held from June 14-16 at Falmouth Harbor, was a resounding success, with Teamac Marine Paints proudly supporting the event as a key sponsor. We were especially excited to be part of this year’s festivities, marking the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.
The highlight of the weekend was the Teamac Marine Race on Saturday, featuring around 100 competitors. The day culminated in a presentation evening at the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club, where we had the honor of presenting trophies and vouchers to each class winner. Notably, several winners from last year returned to claim victory again, underscoring the enduring popularity of the Teamac Marine Race among seasoned crews.
